Celebrations & the Festival Grounds
Celebrations (players call them “parties”) are hosted in the Festival Grounds building to generate Culture Points — the main active way to fuel expansion. The Festival Grounds was added in update 22/05.
The two celebrations
- Small celebration — “Tea Party”: grants the village’s daily CP production, capped. Caps: 500 on 1× worlds, 250 on 3× worlds.
- Large celebration — “Grand Ball”: unlocked at Festival Grounds level 10; grants more, capped at 2000 on 1× / 1000 on 3×.
A small party is worth roughly 1 hour of the village’s resource production in CP, which makes celebration-spam a very strong (arguably near-mandatory) CP strategy — though building the Festival Grounds and paying for parties is itself a real resource cost, so it trades off against troops/buildings.
Durations & cooldowns
- Upgrading the Festival Grounds reduces the celebration cooldown (and slightly the duration). It does NOT increase CP per party.
- On a 3× world: a small party ≈ just under 12 hours, a large party ≈ just under 24 hours — so roughly one or two smalls and one large per day. (On 1×, a level-10 grand celebration is ~43 hours.)
- You can queue multiple parties to run one after another (not simultaneously), so you don’t have to be online exactly when one ends (update 24/07).
Cities & celebrations
A City produces +200 CP/day, which counts toward the CP a Grand Ball can award (up to the cap) if the account is under the cap’s daily CP.
Stormfang: the Stormbrew Celebration
The Stormfang Clans can host a Stormbrew Celebration in the Stormbrew Works to apply that building’s attack bonus across all their villages at once (rather than needing a separate celebration in each village). Note this also triggers the Stormbrew downsides (weaker leaders, random catapult targeting).
